Taru has worked extensively in Trade & Logistics and with Agribusiness and MSMEs. Over the last two decades, it has contributed significantly to evidence and knowledge building in these sectors through research and analysis, stakeholder engagement, term evaluations, and action research. Moreover, Taru has undertaken strategy and roadmap development exercises through insight development, best practices, and networking platforms. Taru has also worked on policy analysis, market assessments, landscape, and ecosystem mapping exercises focusing on Institutional, Social, Environmental, Financial, Economic and Technical aspects. 

Some examples of our key interventions within Trade & Logistics Sector include Chennai City Partnership: Resilient Urban Mobility and Services in Chennai; Strategy Development on Strengthening Logistics Sector in West Bengal; Detailed designing for Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Railway Project; Study on Para-Transit System (PTS) in Indore City; Design of the India Infrastructure Gateway; Transportation Mode Preference Survey (Willingness to pay Survey) for Feasibility Study for Speed of Passenger Trains to 160-200 Kmph on Existing New Delhi-Mumbai Route; Study on measuring the public health a road safety benefits of the upcoming bus rapid transit (BRT) project in Indore amongst others. 

Some examples of our key interventions within Agribusiness and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Sector include Scoping approaches to onboarding women collective enterprise to e-commerce; Socio-Economic assessment of Fishermen community in Tamil Nadu; Assessment of ecosystem services – Livelihood link for integrated management of Bhitarkanika; Understanding Climate Change Adaptation for Smallholders/Marginal farmers and quantifying its impact on Agri allied value chains in Indo-Gangetic Plains (IGP); Process Monitoring under various State Livelihood Missions and programmes; Promoting Rural Livelihoods through Transformative Financial Inclusion; Performance Rating of Self Help Groups (SHG) and Common Interest Groups (CIGs); Rural agricultural market assessment amongst others.
